The International Symposium on Photonic Glasses (ISPG’2002) will be held on Oct.14-17, 2002 in Shanghai, China. Now call for papers! (2002/4)

New telecom materials were developed.(2002-1 )
Telecom application: Two kinds of erbium glasses, erbium aluminosilicate glass (SA series) and erbium phosphate glass (WM series), for POWA application are developed recently. SA series glass can be used as target and WM series glass can be used as target and ion exchange. SA series glass has wide fluorescent range and high glass transition temperature. WM series glass has good chemical durability and emission properties. Rare earth ion concentration (both ytterbium and erbium) can be designed according to the customer requirement.
