The laboratory for laser glass of Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics Chinese Academy of Sciences


Laser amplifier system of the LF12# laser facility (phosphate glasses inside)	The laboratory for laser glass (LLG) was established in 1964. It is located at Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics Chinese Academy of Sciences (SIOM). LLG is the earliest laboratory studying on laser glass and laser related glass in China. LLG has a complete set of equipments for glass property testing and measurement, production equipments and special technology for melting laser glass .Now LLG offers a full serial of laser glass products for laser system ,including Nd³⁺ doped phosphate laser glass, Er3+doped laser glass,Yb³⁺-doped borate laser glass, Magneto-optic (Faraday Rotatory) glass, glass beads etc.
Glass property testing			There are now a whole staff of 30 now, among them 20 are research scientists and engineers, including 5 senior grades,1 member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences -Prof. Zhonghong Jiang,a famous optical material expert in China.
Gold vapor laser for checking Pt inclusion		Over 30 scientific and technology achievement have been made, including the first award of National Scientific Technology in 1987, the first award Academia Scientific Technology progress in1992 etc. the first award of Shanghai Scientific Technology in 2000 etc. Many patents also published.
